I must have written the word "BICENTENNIAL" over 1,000 times in the last 7 months. But, until now, I really haven't thought about what the word means ­ and I'm not talking about the definition in the dictionary.  

To me, it means so many things - history, development, struggle, success, goals, dreams, pride, hardship, beauty, accomplishment and so much more.

This year, Ascension Parish will be celebrating a milestone. It was 200 years ago that this Parish was born. Here is a little overview of its history:

Ascension Parish lies on both banks of the Mississippi River and has a diverse culture... French, Acadian, Italian, Spanish, German, African, English, Native Tribes, Canadian, Canary Islanders and more.

THOUGHTS FROM BULLY: I Drove Through Alabama and Survived!!!

I thought this month I would take the opportunity to announce my new year resolution to my readers. I thought I would tell you I would work out at the health club and lose the 35 pounds that I need to lose or I might consider reducing the number of cold brewsky beverages that I love so much by half. Yea Right!
My new year resolution is to continue to write the full of crap articles that I have been writing.

You know I recently reread some of the articles and this one is no different. It is full of the stupid Jerry Springer type antics that you guys, my readers, apparently continue to read.

Here You go... My family and I headed to Tennessee to share and celebrate the new year. While in route down I-12 I crossed the Mississippi border and immediatly noticed that there is a difference between Louisiana Interstate Highways and Mississippi Interstate Highways.
