Carols in the Garden #2

Residents Celebrate Holidays at Carols in the Garden

On one crisp evening in December, residents of all ages gathered at Ascension Parish Library in Gonzales for the library’s annual caroling event to celebrate the holidays. Erin Perdue, choir director at East Ascension High School, led the lively sing-along with the help of members from her senior choir class. During the performance, carolers were surprised by a special guest appearance from Santa Claus who stuck around to assist Perdue in leading the carols.  After caroling, participants warmed up with hot chocolate provided by Louisiana Lemonade and were treated to assorted baked treats from Sweet Melissa’s Confectionery. Visitors took their treats and ventured around to view the library’s beautiful displays, taking time to marvel at the holiday-decorated rain garden located on the south side of the building on South Nickens Ave.

Ascension Parish Library hosts events for all ages, all year long. To find out what’s happening at the library, visit us online at myAPL.org.
